Life on the Lake
When I got to Lake Junaluska about a month ago, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had no idea what was expected of me as a Singer, how much music we'd be learning, or how close I would become with the people around me. As I prepare for the 4th of July concert tonight, the past month has been a roller coaster of emotions: from the tentative first rehearsal, to receiving a piece of music to be performed in an hour, I've been all over the place. It's so easy to look at the people around me and feel like the youngest one here, which is completely true, but even more accurately, to feel like I'm the least experienced one here. That being said, no one in this group goes out of their way to point that out, or to make me feel inadequate, and I love them for it.
