If you've never heard of her, it's because this is only her second full-length album, but Janelle Monae is wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. The album, The ArchAndroid, is a refreshing take on the now popular mechanized sound. No, it's not auto-tuned, and that's not what I meant... Think of Gnarls Barkley, but instead of Cee-Lo, you have a lovely lady, and the lyrics are not about self-pity. I love it. You should listen to it. Now. Hurry up.
